The last time we saw Amy Slayton and Tammy Slayton on TV was February 6th of this year.
A lot has happened since then: Both women have entered the dating market, Tammy has lost even more weight, and Amy was recently arrested on drug possession charges.
Fans have been sharing these incidents on social media and various celebrity gossip websites.
Will they get a chance to see the Slayton siblings’ lives again on TLC?
yes.
We can confirm that 1000-Lb Sisters Season 6 has been executive-approved and will premiere on the cable network on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
The only real question is when the episode was recorded, and therefore what will and will not be included.
Last season, Amy dealt with the tragic death of her husband Caleb Willingham, and Amy finalized her divorce from Michael Halterman, the father of her two children.
“I had no support,” she told producers before breaking down in tears at one point about the breakup. “I was trying to prepare for Tammy, trying to chase guys, trying to chase Michael. It was a lot of work.”
Of course.
This month, Amy was at the center of an unusual scandal when she was allegedly bitten by a camel while visiting the Tennessee Zoo, and when authorities went to check on her, she was found to be in possession of marijuana and mushrooms.
Amy’s sons were also with her at the time, and Slayton is currently under investigation for child abuse.
Tammy has been focusing on staying healthy and losing weight.
“I take a lot of pictures, a lot of selfies. Not because I’m handsome. Actually, I’m kind of handsome. But mostly because I want to remember how big I was and what I looked like,” Slayton explained on TikTok on Aug. 27.
“And I thought, Dude, I’m so big! I’ve lost 500 pounds. I can’t sit in this chair.”
500 pounds. That’s incredible.
According to our estimates, Amy’s arrest probably occurred when: ~ after The cameras have stopped filming Season 6, and we doubt we’ll see anything about it on the show.
According to what we previously heard, filming began several months ago.
Did the producers argue that the season should be extended to include Amy’s arrest and other new and interesting storylines involving these loved ones?
You’ll find out soon enough.
